I've always just ignored Infinite Jest as memeshit but after listening to read Big Red Son I'm kind of interested, is it actually just pseud masturbation or is it worth reading if you're a normal guy?
It is very applicable to normal guys but if you are concerned about "pseud masturbation," you are not a normal guy, you are a pseud. It offers a fair amount for pseuds as well but in that case it really depends on what sort of pseud you are.

You should finish reading all of Consider the Lobster, then Brief Interviews, then A Supposedly Fun Thing. If you still want more DFW and want kino (but unfinished) try The Pale King or, if you want a decent by overwhelming book for its length, you can read IJ.
