Anything that exists, insofar that it exists, is good, which is basically what Pope says.As Augustine puts it, evil is a privation. There is no truly, fully evil thing, just a good thing that has been twisted and corrupted and turned aside from goodness. But its fundamental existence is still good. Even the sinners in Hell have some goodness by virtue of their existence.
