>my favorite book of all time is Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric NylundWhat type of person do you imagine?
A based bro i want to smoke weed with
>>25082033Pretty cool. It's a good book.Nylund's works actually got me to think critically as a dumb Xbox kid, since he has Halsey/the UNSC/the COG doing fucked up evil shit without shoving it in your face that it is evil. I still remember when it first clicked that the Insurrectionists weren't radicals but were justified since the UNSC is the type of government to nuke cities and kidnap children for experimentation. The books don't come out and make a big deal of it but give you more than enough information to piece it together if you pay attention.
>>25082086As someone whose played the game i was impressed how well the book kept me engaged but tbf it's basically ender's game
>>25082033A man with a massive fucking cock and gets more sex than you OP
I imagine someone who will go through life mostly content, never experiencing the lowest lows or highest highs that life can offer. Such a person is unlikely to, for example, hire a tutor to teach them physics or visit the boreal forest of Canada. Such a person is very, very unlikely to get malaria or to patent a toy.
>>25082086Yup, the books properly present that the UNSC is a quasi-posthuman interstellar imperium that was provoking a massive civil war before the covenant showed up.
>>25082033Fall of Reach is a baller book, but if it's your favorite book as an adult, then I can only imagine a 30 yr skinnyfat basement dweller that hasn't read a book since highschool.
>>25082033Fond memories of being in Scouts in 5th grade reading that book in my tent during a camping trip
>>25082286Fuck, you guys are young.
>>25082446Anon... If the poster you're replying to was 11 at the time and read it when it came out then he'd be 36 this year.
>>25082454Anon...that's very young.
>>25082470Life is basically over once you're that age desuNature didn't make us to mate past our prime (15-25). Everything after that is just you living on borrowed time due to modern times being easy. You were literally designed to grow up fast, fuck a shit ton, take care of your children during their most vulnerable days and die at the ripe age of 30.
>>25082479>literallyYuh
>>25082033A 12-year-old who likes fun
>>25082470dumb elf
>>25082033Someone who doesn't read much and doesn't care to even pretend to be well-educated and cultured
>>25082033You could do a lot worse, especially as sci-fi is concerned.
>>25082033black logo shirt with suspicious white stains on one shoulder
>>25083807>suspicious white stains on one shoulderFrom his girlfriend's makeup, right?
I loved this book. My favorite book based on a game.
>>25082033After reading some Star Wars books, I think the misconception people have about game books is that they're trash. They're not nonsensical, they're more doing their own thing in the setting. It's genre fiction for genre sake.I never bothered finishing it though; but I never bother to finish a bunch of books, so make of that what you will.
>>25082446Tell that to my 35 year old norwood 3 vertex, uncI've been on this god forsaken site since before weeaboo had anything to do with Japan.
>>25084160This book was shockingly gruesome.
>>25082479>Life is basically over once you're that ageSays… who? YOU?LMAOOOOOOO
>25082479>literally
>>25082033.
>>25082033Well considering it was the very first literature that led me to philosophy I will always remember Halo: The Fall of Reach fondly. >Spartans->Greeks etc>Elites->Samurai->Confucius, Taoism, Zen etc
>>25085997why are you posting action figures on a literature board
>>25086133This thread is about Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund, which is literature.
