>>25087681Superman beats all characters. Anyone telling you any different doesnt understand the character. The entire point is he overcomes all obstacles, no matter what. Only a genuine cynic (read: juvenile twat) finds this unacceptable.
>>25088323You're a powershitting, Superman wanking retard who conveniently ignores all the times he lost. Anyone interested can google it.

>>25087681Humans are ment to operate with a balance of rational and irrational. Nihilism in combination with nothing but rationality and logic would actually be irrational. A nihilist might claim nothing matters as a universal truth and base his/her philosophies, but the universe doesn't answer questions when you ask. Humans came to conclusions to their own questions based on how they looked and studied nature. The meaningless rock, sky, sea, and eveything else made of nothing but matter did not give you an answer. Just because we had a brain that could think doesn't mean there was a reason to make symbols like letters and numbers and give them meaning. To give them meaning is irrational because it doesn't matter. Things didn't have names before humans chose to do it, no colors. Intelligence does not seek knowledge on it's own. A human needs a drive. More then an emotional one, a spiritual one as well. Humans are very spiritual. Before religion and science when humans migrated the earth looking for eachother they wondered about their surroundings and their purpose. Basically any new thing "given sense" is through nonsense. It doesn't matter if the universe is real. People gave it meaning and gave value to everything they themselves hold precious. Even if you could say something is valuble for the progress or safety of mankind, you could say humans don't matter and value themselves. There is no reason to progress or survive. We are matter. I understand the nihilist view, but I'm simply someone who chooses to value and understand the meaning in things, after all a meaningless place like the universe is nothing and humans are creators.

>>25087681Believing in the power of the human spirit/will is naive, you only need to read accounts of famines, the Holocaust, shipwrecks, etc. to know that hunger is more powerful than hope.
>>25090272cringe atheist faggot.
>>25087694>>25089899Retard. Overemphasis placed on discursive reasoning = Reducing meaning as arbitrary = Nihilism.Dumb pedantic faggot.
