I feel vulnerable, like I'm setting myself up to be humiliated or something. I've only had one other thing published in the past, and it still makes me cringe because what I published is so different to the kind of thing I want to be associated with. It was like I was trying too hard to please the reader so it came across as infantile and inauthentic or something.
