How can I base my opinions about my work in my own criteria without relying in the implicit and explicit hierarchies of comparisons others have established?

When you really think about it language itself is loaded with the pollution, the burden, of other's people thoughts? I have let that pollution led me to destroy my own works, yes, I have done so in a world where absolutely dysgenic monstrosities like American Psycho, Lolita and Prime Intellect are considered pieces of literature.

I'm working towards preserving my own work no matter my own opinion about it, you can contribute to that in this thread if you feel like it:

Meanwhile, I'm interested in your take in breaking free from the conditioning and the luggage of society and its language.
