Asian americans are culturally homeless. Children of refugees growing up in nihilistic capitalist american diaspora they have no great history within, they try to make it in the great individualist idealism, but fail as they are far too weak and cowardly (unsurprising for children of refugees) for something almost no one today succeeds at. And so they can only fall back onto the signposting of advertisers: media products, bastardized liberal values, and white partners. That and other asian cultures which they don't belong to. Really, they're like blacks but without all the respected historical suffering they can use to justify their failures.
