I read some of the Search After Truth some months ago, and found that he's actually much more penetrating than as just "the philosopher of occasionalism" that the British empiricists commented on. The Entretiens sur la metaphysique also appear significant and have been subsequently important in France, commented by Merleau-Ponty just to name one. He also quotes Augustine every other page in the middle of the Age of Reason, which elevates his work deeply in my eyes
