>Metaphysics is the study of the most elementary features of reality, including existence, objects and their properties, possibility and necessity, space and time, change, causation, and the relation between matter and mind. It is one of the oldest branches of philosophy.

>Philosophers engaged in metaphysics are called metaphysicians or metaphysicists.

Hegel was retarded. That is all.

Are there any practitioners of metaphysics who blend these together:

>Ontology realist, teleological, theistic
>Epistemology mediated, historically conditioned
>Anthropology fallen, will-driven, meaning-seeking
>History contingent, agent-driven, ideologically structured

Why is the most influential epistemologist of our era so underdiscussed? Is Strauss truly a SECRET gatekept from p-zombies by classified palantir technology?

oh and btw, I looked through some of Edward Feser's works and a lot of seems loaded with jargon. I mean I get the basic idea. like how a tree can become something through use or the idea of flowers growing to adulthood and stuff like that.

Has any /lit/izen taken up the reading of the greatest French metaphysician of the 17th century (Malebranche)
What does /lit/ think of him? I read some of the Search After Truth some months ago, and found that he's actually much more penetrating than as just "the philosopher of occasionalism" that the British empiricists commented on. The Entretiens sur la metaphysique also appear significant and have been subsequently important in France, commented by Merleau-Ponty just to name one. He also quotes Augustine every other page in the middle of the Age of Reason, which elevates his work deeply in my eyes
