You haven’t even published anything

>>25165956
Just realize that you realized that you found a great reason not to be 5-8 years ago
>>
>>25165956
Have you even finished anything yet?

tolkien published the hobbit at age 45. give yourself another decade before you bathe yourself in this sweaty cesspool of self-pity, it's not that serious/deep (not yet, anyway)

Be a serious, productive person in your own life. Work on a book as a hobby on the side.
If you're chasing being a "famous author", you're deluded on a fundamental level and that delusion is part of why you will fail.
The peak era for famous authors has also already passed anyways.
The most important step for being able to write a great book is accepting the following things:
You may never finish it
You may never get acclaim for it
You may never make meaningful money on it
Once you accept all those things, then you have the recipe for being able to write a great book that makes you famous and rich.

Alternatively, be a sociopath and try to write peak slop where you aren't pouring your soul into at all and you're trying to optimize the slop as much as possible. However if you're capable of trend chasing and slop perfecting, there's better industries to make money with this skill than in book publishing.

uh, were you?
