I just started reading it myself and finished the chapter where everyone starts throwing away his books to burn, and the entire thing is just jokes about all these stories no one's heard in 100+ years. I'm reminded of how a lot of hit songs from the past live on in the collective consciousness exclusively as Weird Al parodies
