While all you chuddites are wasting time on here, some of us are actually writing things and submitting them to publications

Good work anon, but this isn't the writing board, it's the literature board

If you wouldn't mind, can you share another poem you have written that isn't tied up in potential copyright? I would just love to read it
>>

I could submit a scan of my spread buttcheeks to the New Yorker Poetry portal and yield that same reply. It would take all of two seconds and not hamper my posting one keystroke.
>>
>>25168129
That would be better than any poem you could write
>>
>>25168152
OP far too afraid to deliver
>>
>>25168152
Or you.
>>
>>25168110
nice. did you ever get published though?
>>
The fact that Honor Levy got published multiple times by the New Yorker before even writing her novel gives me hope
>>

You say that as if we’re all aspiring writers here. I mean that’s great for you that you’re sending this stuff to publications and all but you could tell me you’re submitting application forms for engineering and it wouldn’t make the slightest bit of difference. Though, I’m curious about the quality of work. I’d ask to read it but I highly doubt you’ll post it here, you probably would have already. Say what you will about /lit/ but I’m sure there would be some constructive criticism for you, were you to post it, if you can handle the vitriol that often accompanies that criticism (which you should be able to to considering you’re putting your work out there) then you’ll be fine.

Use a jewish pseudonym and it's pretty much a guarantee you'll get published.
>>
how much you get paid for that?
>>
>>25168110
I submit to The Paris Review despite not being anywhere good enough yet. Last year I got a short note of acknowledgement and encouragement from the editor, felt pretty good.
>>25168122
You really should read the sticky at least once.
>/lit/ is for the discussion of literature, specifically books (fiction & non-fiction), short stories, poetry, creative writing, etc
>>
>>25168289
>tries to be smart but doesn't understand how they are stupid
>still too afraid to post their poetry
>>
>>25168234
You don't have the nose for such promotions anon. Thinking it's merit based in the first place is embarrassing.
>>
>>25168291
I don't write poetry, haven't written one since school.
>>
>>25168310
Sorry champ, I confused you with OP
I haven't eaten my turkey sandwich yet
>>
>>25168312
I think OP went awol, they often do when they post something like that. Nervy little bitches ain’t they?
>>
>>25168122
fpbp. good for OP but I have no aspirations to be a writer
>>
>>25168316
I really wanted to read one of his poops
>>
>>25168110
crossing my fingers for you anon, good luck
>>25168289

>>
>>25168283
Fat wads.
>>
>>25168273
Jewish people tend to think I’m one of them. Should I try to pull it off?
