Is this the best French graded reader for absolute beginners? I think it might be. It's one of the best I've seen so far. Found it today.

Here's the first page. The words that have an asterisk are similar to English words, the words that aren't translated in the footnotes are in the vocabulary in the back.

My ebook reader app seems unable to store bookmarks for the pdf, I don't know why. I think all the five part-books are available individually, here's the first one. My ebook reader can store bookmarks for this pdf.

However, one good thing about the book in the OP is that it has a list of the most common words at the beginning of the vocabulary. This book doesn't have that.
