I copied down quotations from In Search of Lost Time that I thought were well written, evocative, or in some other way something I would like to revisit. I made a simple text file where I copied them down alongside the page number, organized by volume.I can't imagine color coding shit unless I was using the text for some kind of academic study. I've been reading 'As I Lay Dying' and am annotating as I go along - I usually mark paragraphs/ sentences that are particularly well-written and circle words/phrases that are symbolic.
