I was given the first four books for Christmas. Thought it was kinda shit at first but once the actual development kicked in I started liking it. Please upvote me XD.

That's when it gets some personality. If you can tolerate that, then stick with the books until something interesting happens outside the dungeon. Can't remember if that's book 1 or 2. Someone explain to me what's wrong with it. I don't read litrpg or modern sci-fi so I can't tell if Carl is part of some bigger picture that's lost on me. I thought the series was interesting and funny.
