Have you read it anon? Which translation would you recommend?

havent read it but its on my TBR, i mean from what i know this is a heavily abridged version albiet still long, theres the warner translation which is a more raw translation of the shahnameh but the original is significantly longer than Dick Davis'. What i'd probably do is read Dick's version and then if something really interests me id look through warner's translation.
