I want to learn everything there is to know about goonology. I'm not looking for pornography, but rather the history and semiotics of pornography, especially Eastern pornography (but Western is fine, too). Do you know of any books I cam grab besides this one?
For example, an academic exegesis on how facial abuse ramped up the violence in online pornography would be cool as hell.
This book focuses on the types and visual language of hentai, but I'm equally interested in shit like how the West uses step-sibling plots, or stuck-in-a-washing-machine nonsense.

My history of hentai as a medium knowledge is kinda rough, but I know 2 things you should focus on are Toshio Maeda for popularizing tentacle hentai and Eros Comix's translation of Bondage Fairies for helping popularize hentai in America.Also, Futari Ecchi is a popular smut manga (not hentai) which is literally educational material on sex and relationships, and which has been going on for like 30 years. Not exactly what you're looking for, but still pretty important as far as sex-based literature goes.You'll also want to look up the history of Tiajuana bibles.
