I read some essay where he gets sent to jail for refusing to pay his taxes because he opposed them being used on [current issue]. While in jail he looks out at everyone going about their business and laments how weak they are and how he is the only one with the courage of his convictions to take such a bold, radical stand as to go spend the night in the empty, small town New England jail cell where he could basically leave any time he wants.
Of course his issue is imagining everyone else feels the same way as him, as strongly opposed to the [current issue] as he is, but that he's the only one who cares enough to do anything.
Anyways just a nice little reminder how 'liberal' is a personality disorder and its symptoms never change.
