Number of copies sold is the best way to measure how good a fiction book is.

You're just a bunch of right-wing contrarian elitists and left-wing anti-capitalist pedants who refuse to acknowledge such a basic fact about literature or any artistic media calling it soul-less or bait because you have no other defense.

By that same metric Twilight is a masterpiece.

So, if I write a book and then my friend buys a million of them, the quality of my book is high? Another example: how about if a book sells a million copies, and those who bought it all get together to burn their copies because they hated it, is the book still good? How about if they keep the book but everyone makes fun of it and how bad it is, is it still good?

On a different note: when you try to use your brain, does smoke come out of your ears? I feel this is a smokey-ear take on books you see.
