Has anyone actually read this?

Is there any value in it or is it just a meme?
>>
If you guys aren't trolling me then many of you could probably learn from this and other similar books like
>how to think
>>
>>25181713
Nope, but I have it. It's next on my to-read list, in fact.
>>
>>25181713
How are you supposed to read it if you can't read books?
>>
>>25181728
No one noticed this, so the book never sold.
>>
>>25181728

Yeah, it's one of the 5 or so books that have truly changed me. I actually use its method now whenever I read anything that takes effort.
>>
>>25181713
I've read it, it's worth reading for the analytical section
>>
>>25181713

It's rubbish. It's for people who are very new to reading or have little education. Not a bad thing but if you're already reading heavy stuff you're not gonna gain anything from it. It's also quite boring
>>
>>25181713
I liked it. It's stuff you should have learnt in high school but probably didn't. Mostly useful for non-fiction though.

Just [check out a copy from the library] for free and read it.
>>
It's actually good. Ignore the contrarians.
>>
>>25181713
I read this one instead 2 years ago but now I'm realising I remember nothing about it. I gave it 2 stars on Goodreads. Moments like this make me want to kill myself, why do I even read?
>>

Retard
>>25181713
I've never felt a need for this kind of thing. Some of the advice in it that I've heard others repeat (especially regarding annotation) seems bizarre and pointless.
>>
People overcomplicate the simplest shit. Just read the book and your mind will parse the information for you.
>>
>>25186127
The basic premise is that reading should be considered an art/skill and that most people stop developing their skills at reading at the elementary level. Many people ho through their lives thinking basic competence is sufficient. And maybe it is for some, but you can also go further than that if you desire.

did the man who invented college, go to college?
>>
>>25181713
If you've been reading since you were a kid you already have everything this book has to offer internalized.
>>
>>25186429
>one single man invented colleges all at once as a concept
U tarded?
>>
>>25186422

>>
