Why Nick Land gone from "The story goes like this: Earth is captured by a technocapital singularity as renaissance rationalization and oceanic navigation lock into commoditization take-off. Logistically accelerating techno-economic interactivity crumbles social order in auto sophisticating machine runaway. As markets learn to manufacture intelligence, politics modernizes, upgrades paranoia, and tries to get a grip" to "Brown people are scary"?

>>25186898Does he know that 55% of jews in Israel are mizrahi jews(who are brown arab jews)?
>>25186898This does not represent my true opinion:>Why did nick land go from this to thisHe didn't really change at all. "Brown people are scary" is Nick Land's shorthand for "decelerationists are literally going to make something much worse for all of you. You're turning away from producing anything for yourselves, and all that's going to do is prolong your suffering". It makes sense for him to say it's scary, but it comes off as shallow Israeli racism to most people rather than anything genuine. He's pretty much just playing his part in the accelerationist game, he still withholds the same moral view under a different tactic. Peter Thiel is effectively doing the same thing through a different method; by criticizing the authoritative moral prescriptions of Catholics by trying to usher them into the theological consideration of the antichrist.Deleuze and Guattari's reproduction of subjectivity for Land is like Girard's scapegoat for Peter Thiel. They're both trying to push against all the cultural semantic bleaching that took everyone over, because they believe that too much inhibited synthesis in global capitalism is effectively suicide that leaves the powers from one economy to another. Thiel's morals more bluntly lay on the side of preventing a world order that is insanely oppressive. Neither of their opinions are really a secret if anyone puts enough effort into investigating them.
>>25186898He's describing the existence of a self-sustaining reaction which operates in economic and cultural spheres simultaneously. Apply this to traditional leftist theory like Marx's base and superstructure. It means the superstructure reaches back and alters the base which then alters the superstructure and so on, accelerating out of control. What superstructural phenomenon is facilitating the next epoch of capitalist acceleration? Mass migration off the back of anti-racist tabula rasa "we're all equal" ideology.Attacking this ideology at its root is a strategy to abort the new hellish capitalist mode before it arrives.
>>25186939Gonna say a few more things here.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7FW0GoSLKI This is a good video describing where Land's hostility against the exhaustive use of dialectics comes from. I think a lot of people who are against marx's dialectics would consider this a treat, but they also need to be wary of finding that the effect of dialectics it isn't strictly limited to Marxism or the left. Deleuze points out through interfacing with Nietzsche that there are plenty of political and philosophical traditions that mimick a very similar thing by way of their geneaology. A good example of something like that existing outside of Marxism are Groypers resorting to vote for the left, or people wishing for America to implode because of their relationship with Israel. On the side of Peter Thiel, there is his interviews that are relevant to the antichrist:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqHueZNEzighttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTNI_lCvWZQand, for his influence, there is Girard (and his book on "The Scapegoat"):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNkSBy5wWDk
>>25186898It's an improvement if anything. His philosophy is a collage of borrowings from the usual roster of fashionable thinkers around a very obvious, popular organizing narrative borrowed from science fiction. His collaborators were electronic musicians and shock-schlock artists (Jake and Dinos etc. etc.) and his stuff is basically of the same kind as theirs: their ultimate standard is a taste for "extremity." It is not at all surprising that a fool who thought party-pills and loud repetitive music was an epochal break from the safe, aspirational postwar universal suburb, or that phrases like "technocapital singularity" or "auto-sophisticating machine runaway" have explanatory value, or even validly refer, should later become a reactionary middle-aged grouch. In other news, former emo buys Ring doorbell.
>>25186898>>25186939Global capital diffusing itself scarcely among hordes of brown niggas whether by direct import or by foreign aid is by definition antithetical to it being an amplifying feedback look that culminates in a grand future intelligence. Unfortunately for nick's project, this kind of brake on the system has always been the case as it's a function of (global) empire. His interpretation of D&G I think falls flat for this reason.
>>25187470amplifying feedback loop***
>>25187470I haven't actually read the whole material of the things relevant here, since I am more focused on Guattari's literature right now, but if it's true that Land over-emphasized deterritorialization in his earlier days then yeah it would've fell short of D&G. But I don't think that's the idea that he sustains as of today.I think the reason why he's moved on to his NRx stuff is because he changed his views on the strategy of reterritorialization for a specific macropolitics, hence his embrace of anglo-saxxon culture and things of that sort. To Land, perhaps there's still a better synthesis of intelligence at play there that should be sustained. Maybe Facebook (Year Zero: Faciality) was all it took for him to recognize the function of a stagnant global empire as you've said. If you were to continually deterritorialize any kind of molar regime just for the emphasis of deterritorialization, then all that would be left is a molecular revolution in succession. If you apply all of these abstract ideas to the current state of geopolitics then, for anyone who is traumatized by Zuckerberg and apartheid South Africa, it would make sense for him to worry about the brownie proletarian revolution; and both low-IQ "deterritorialization" accelerationism and dialectical "accelerationism". But there wasn't something like Facebook back in the day, there was just a platform with dial-up communication that didn't attain much molar consistency, therefore no apparent monopole to be recognized for CCRU Land to reconsider. At any rate though, he might think of the stagnant state as negative inhibition towards a slower culmination of intelligence rather than a full inhibition that reverses it. But what's ironic is that this might sustain the livelihood of humanity better than the other way, which is the only reason why I partially agree with him, just not for accelerating everything into superintelligence.
>>25188609>But what's ironic is that this"This" referring to his own strategy post-CCRU*
'Deceleration bad. Be a dronetroon for government ai from the future, puppet. Annihilate every part of yourself and exist on a spectrum that spans from perfectly fungible economic unit to cyberdrone. Do it for your betters.'
>>25186909>>25186898The truth is that the massive influx of Indian immigrants in the western world is making everyone super racist because Indians are disgusting.
>>25188622>Annihilate every part of yourself(Not even what he says, at least nowadays)>and exist on a spectrum that spans from perfectly fungible economic unit to cyberdrone>Be a dronetroon for government ai from the future"Annihilate everything unnecessary, except for whatever accords to our needs according to your own". Where have we both heard this before? The 'common good' of capitalist wealth and technique goes way ahead of that principle. It's not affordable to oppress every citizen into an extremely limited activity to the point only people with high IQ aspergers ever contribute anything.>>25188638The truth is that you need to make a compromise for white people to even exist.
