How many of you have read it while high on grass a-and blasting David Lynch and Chrystabell’s Cellophane Memories?
When I first read it the was a 6 hour stretch where I was on mushrooms and listening to The Boredoms and Acid Mothers Temple, I started it thinking I would just read the beginning while waiting for the mushrooms to start doing their thing but got very caught up in reading it. Super Roots 7 came on during the Kenosha Kid and I ended up rereading the that section over and over for the duration, they go together fairly well.

>>25187139Sometimes I read while waiting for the shrooms to kick in but once they do, it becomes impossible to read the words before they melt off the page let alone comprehend them. It's really nice on the comedown tho
i could never read a book like this stoned. slightly related, i once tried to read a few pages of finnegans wake high. awful idea, dont ever do it.

Eating mushrooms generally does not work like this though since that is more a delayed onset than a slow onset, once they start kicking things go quickly, but that time it worked. Sipping my way through a cup of mushroom tea works quite well for reading. LSD is no problem as long as I start reading right when I drop it and get myself good and caught up before it starts having any effect. I can't smoke pot with the intention of reading, it might happen but generally I will need to do something more tangible, music or wood working are common, taking a plane to a fragrant and wonderfully working wood like Spanish Cedar while stoned is nearly orgasmic. Eating pot works for reading but never been much for eating it, always end up feeling unsatisfied. But I don't do drugs much anymore, occasional hit of weed is enough for me these days, getting old.
>>25187193Back around the turn of the century when I was playing house with my first serious gf, we spent a summer starting the day by getting stoned and reading FW aloud to each other. It was pretty great.
