>>25189656>>25189933>recognizing and understanding contextual nuanceyeah anon, i'm not sure why─why at all and in that case why so late─but a few months ago i started being able to pick up on the things people do and say without intending it well enough to be deliberate about how i say things. before i could only understand more obvious subtext and i would misinterpret it most of the time. it just got a lot clearer after a series of interactions i had (including pissing off a therapist), and i retrospectively understood a lot of past experiences soon after. i'm convinced autists are the way they are because they're too embroiled in one pattern of thinking to even notice the effect it has on people and have the slightest chance of adjusting it.i wonder if i am/was like this because of the insane isolation i grew up in rather than autism, i don't suppose autism goes away.and yes i do have a em dash key, eat shit. ─.
