I read a lot and I think it is cope for being fat, single, and ugly. Anyone else think their reading habit is a cope? It’s not even just basic escapism, but even the very cultural association and social capital attached to reading, seeming like an intellectual or misunderstood genius, that makes me want to read.
>>25190478No, I just like learning.
>>25190478Kill yourself OP, you insufferable retard. Speak for yourself.
>>25190482
>>25190484Haha, okay OP; keep living, for now.
>>25190489
>>25190478what a dogshit newfag psychotic nigger thread>everybody who does <thing I don't like> is FAT
>>25190478stop watching manosphere brainrot, you fucking faggot
>>25190478dunno if this helps but I'm a 6 foot non fat guy with above average looks who's gotten quite a lot of pussy and I read a lot. Almost always litfic though and it's mostly just because I like the art form. Sorry to appropriate you're culture...
>>25190478This reads like something from /pol/ I imagine. You haven’t read a single book in your life have you?
>>25190511>muh /pol/ I only donkey vote. I’m not political.
>>25190478Single women aren't real. This is because there are significantly more men than women. I'd guess that women make up about 30% of the world population at most. Everyone in the UN colludes to cook the numbers because the truth would cause society to collapse.
>>25190478a lot of reading is cope, sure. self-help, female contemp lit, conan comics, etc
If you NEET you can read 4+ hours and maintain a lean fit. It isn't impossible, OP
>>25190478Is there a term for this sort of negative thinking that's very popular on the internet? The belief that, because people find a statement viscerally uncomfortable, that statement holds a viscerally uncomfortable truth by nature. It's the basis of using "cope" to dismiss every belief that isn't pessimistic/darwinian in nature.
>>25190478I would fuck both but unfortunately they are chad only.
>>25190478Whatever makes you happy man, do what brings warmth to your heart and to your soul and be nice to yourself, you deserve love therefore have self love, friend.
>>25190478I think for a lot of /lit/ posters you are correct.Though it does seem like your post is, in it's own way, a cope.
>>25190478Any human activity can be a cope, and there's nothing wrong with coping.
What ISN’T cope? Putting yourself through the most abject situations every day to the point where you want to kill yourself but you don’t because that’s cope?
>>25190579That's a very accurate description of the phenomena and I don't think there's a single term that encompasses it entirely.
Bot thread, do not reply.
>>25190550he's fat and lazy, no point bothering
>>25190579i think it's just a lack of critical thinking. the first thing you see is true? everybody must see things the way you see it?i guess if you're the type of person who's never had a close relationship with another human being it wouldn't surprise me that you'd think your perspective is the only perspective. then when somebody presents you with a different perspective you just call them a retard instead of trying to think. could also see this happening for people with trust issues. other people lie to me, other people are wrong, I only trust myself
>>25190478You're right that the figure of the svelte, sharply-dressed, college-educated literati is a /lit/ fiction. The average reader is a fat ugly retard.
>>25192424anon this is simply called autism
>>25190478Calling things "cope" is a cope
>>25190507Actually, its not a dichotomy
>I read a lot and I think it is cope for being fat, single, and uglySo you are fat, single, and ugly, and you use reading to cope with being unable to change. That's so unfortunate.
>>25192438I failed this. Maybe I do have autism.
>>25190478
