Any Star Wars book worth reading? And what about the plagueis books? They seem to be regarded as the best.
Generally, no. The thrawn books are okay, the phantom menace novelisation is tolerable, and Jedi academy is all over the shop but it's tolerable. I remember really liking Darksaber and Truce at Bakura, but one is about sentient space raptors that turn pain into batteries and the other is about huttese labour practices making the funniest chinese deathstar knockoff. You might want to delve into, god help you, fanfiction.
Plagueis, Darth Bane, and the ROTS novelisation are widely regarded as the best. Its still only on the level of wheel of time or some other child fantasy series but its comfy.
>>25192605Not really, unless you enjoy the occasional low-tier slop read
>>25192605I like the Vong because they're essentially Star Trek aliens crossed with cenobites. Love their biomechanical weapons and armor. People hate them for stupid reasons but I love them. Pre-Disney Star Wars felt like a giant sandbox of ideas, and that's why I'll always prefer it to what came after.
>>25193345So basically, definitely check out New Jedi Order
