its a relative quantity. youre not going to be better read than whoever the contemporary Harold Bloom is, but youre going to be better read than the average blue collar worker. just try to read a bit more every day, from a broad array of sources, and thats all anyone with common sense can ask of you. and if people dont have common sense dont bother talking to them lol
