How do I break out of a NEET mindset and start building a better, more productive life in my 20s? Are there any good (preferably short or quick-read) books that can help me or helped you change your mindset to better your life?I know that I need to stop being a lazy NEET so that I can get on with my life and what I want to accomplish, but the world just feels so grim at times that I think to myself whats the point (I also just get plain lazy.)...And whats so painful about it is that I know that the path of discipline is the right path to take, but I'm just having a war in my head of procrastination and doubting myself.
>>25196886No. If you were going to have some ambition and drive in your life you already would have by now.

>>25196886>How do I break out of a NEET mindsetleave 4chan while you still can or minimize your exposure to bait threads and crab bucket mentalitybeing exposed to toxic shit and memes especially from /pol/ (incel subculture is inherently tied with neetdom) and having little to no irl socialization makes you more vulnerable to those ideas and it makes you feel like you are part of a group and you fit in, which can't be said about the real world, this in turn means that you won't question what you absorb even if deep down you are perfectly aware that it's all a bunch of bullshit>discipline is the right path to takenot necessarily, discipline can bring you only so far, you are not a robot, you can't just rewire yourself and do something for the rest of your life for no reason at allyou needA) a goal, it should be realistic and measurable, you can't spin your wheels forever without seeing any progress because it will eventually lead you to burn out and boredom and in that case you won't put in the effort (for example starting a priori with the idea that you will never get a gf for some reason, this prediction will become true because a 0% success rate is assured if you don't even try)B) making the alternatives more of a hasslelet's take improving your diet as an example, personally I never followed any strict diet guidelines, I just know that whole home-coooked single-ingredient meals are good for you, in other words not eating my meal makes me feel worse than actually eating it because I enjoy the taste and it improves my health and energy, essentially it takes you more effort to do the opposite thing so there's virtually no discipline/motivation involved once it becomes a habitthe same can apply to exercise, learning (whether it's personal projects/passions or college/job) and so onthe biggest advice I think is not comparing yourself to others (rather compare your future self to yourself of today) and not overthinking about the past and/or futurefor instance>I'm a dropout/didn't give a single exam in 3 years/my parents paid for my education/I wasted my life etcwho cares? you learned your lesson, just move on with your life, there are people in their 60s make even more drastic changes in their lives and they would laugh at your "problems"think of it like this, in elementary school you might have had anxiety before a test, as you get older you might think it was stupid and it was a massive nothingburger, the same concept applies here, there's just too much mental masturbation and not much doingalso goes without saying but loving/accepting yourself (among neets it's extremely common for them to be their biggest enemies, making narratives in their heads like "what will others thnk of me" which is obviously extremely limiting to you as a person and your enjoyment of life in general)essentially strive to become someone who you could look up to and admire, be your own friendalso a must watchhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tk6dC12R7bs
Thinking you need a book for this is cope to let you procrastinate more, just get a job

>>25196886I don't love anything, but I know why, it's because nothing in this world benefits methe only solution is to fucking kill all social welfare, destroy democracy and reestablish an aristocratic order under which the nature of things and people will be treated as they are instead of being made to conform to some ideal of equality, brilliant good fucking modern torture kills me
