>>25197431>The Question of Things Happening Nothing ever happens bros existed even back then
In my area all we have are cookbooks, romances and boomer-tier political books from Fox News types like Mark Levin and Bill O'Reilly
>>25197460OP here, trust me, 99% of the books at my thrift store was all that kind of crap too. Some decent sections with history and biographies, though.
>>25197431value village?I dont know why but their selection dwarfs other thrift stores
>>25197471Its spelt dwarves retard
>>25197451
>>25197471Those are savers stickers. Their stickers are easy to peel off, so you can take a $0.99 sticker off some little pamphlet and put it over the sticker of a $5.99 book then run through the self checkout. Savers isn't even a charity, it's a for-profit thrift store. I don't know why people donate shit to them
>>25197627>Those are savers stickersyeah they're the same as value village just different name depending on the region> Savers isn't even a charity, it's a for-profit thrift store. I don't know why people donate shit to themive donated stuff to them, why? cuz i want them to stay in business>>25197473no
>>25197460I saw Joel Osteen once at those places kek
>>25197889The real thrift store by my house gives food to hungry families
>SaversAusfag? I know they have Savers in America also but the pricing makes me assume this is Australian Savers. Many of my books are from Savers. It's amazing what people donate that could have been sold online for 20 bucks. I've considered starting an online bookstore with resold books from Savers and other thrift stores.
>>25198016they have EBT. i dont get any government funds to buy books so this is a better cause to donate to.
>>25198021those are common prices for savers books in the states also
Prices are getting bad but I'm still surprised they put those slim Greek volumes at $5.00
>>25198094And then the hardcover Woolf letters same / less. lol where's the logic? Sorry. I'm ranting.
>>25198016Fuck them kids
>>25198021Savers is the most jewish thrift store when it comes to pricing precisely because they're a for-profit enterprise with no charitable mission. Thrift stores associated with charities would be embarrassed to charge $5 for a used bible
>>25197460You have to be dedicated and check somewhat regularly (once every two weeks per store is my method) and youll start getting hits. Sometimes you hit the jackpot
