This story by DH Lawrence about some captain in the army who had a subordinate servant boy he was in love with and was really mean to him and eventually the servant murdered him. It made me extremely uncomfortable, far worse than gay porn would. I turned to another random story in the collection and it was this scene of two men wrestling shirtless in absurd detail

One was about how he caught the fail AIDS but you don't have to feel bad about being gay, and the other was a political one that critiques gays-are-abominations stuff on the right, Foucault-style gender abolitionist queer politics on the left, and also a liberal gays-are-permanent-victims mentality who need to be protected from discrimination, and he proposes instead that gay guys should just become conservative normies who serve in the military and get married.
