Anyone else here a midwit who can only read short books with simple words?
I can't be alone here

Yeah, I just finished reading Gravity's Rainbow for instance

>Look up book synopsis
Ahhhh is that accurate?

OP, you may not be an advanced reader, but please don’t label yourself a midwit. That’s reserved for the vainly obtuse, and averagely functioning NPCs of the world. They might have a sizable vocabulary, but never any humility or meaningful insight.

Anon, I took a IQ test and scored 94 in verbal IQ
144 in spacial IQ.
I'm for sure a reading retard.

My condolences.

Work your way up to the good stuff. If you dont know what a word means, look it up with the many tools at your disposal.

I know a guy with severe dyslexia that has a masters in English. If he can do it, so can you

Funny enough yes, I can do the 3 step captcha in seconds.

My twin sister recommended "the will of the many"
R8 her choice.

I'm a bad reader with low attention span but I like the challenge of reading more comlex works that look appealing to me. I'm okay with taking a year to finish one book.

I don’t know anything about this book, anon, but it looks like a combination of historical fiction and sci-fi judging by the cover. Neither really interest me as literature genres, but I’d watch the movie. Could be about something else entirely though, idk.

Is that a good book? Looks interesting

Robert Johnson's books are pretty good.
Easy to read and pretty short.

I don't think reading can be considered the sole intellectual hobby from any point of view. There are many other fields to excel in, not to mention the different kinds of book that exist. There are some books I can barely finish and once I have finished it I retain no knowledge of what I read. Others I can fly through and remember everything even if it's history or philosophy. The truth is life is boring and unless you are an actual retard there won't be much to interest you. Retards don't try to read books in the first place, they play video games and watch children's movies. My advice is don't waste your time on things you don't like. 70 years isn't a long time to live and isn't guaranteed. I've recently started reading nothing but short stories because it's what I always liked the most. My dream was to write a novel and I know I can't do that. I believe a short story would be much easier. Whether it's good or not is a different matter, but you won't know unless you try. People like EAP and Checkov were obviously great writers and intelligent, yet they never wrote anything long.
