was thinking about this book the other day that I read as a kid. on a surface level it just seems like some dexter's lab secret kid-genius shit but i remember it having deeper themes like the main character constantly debilitated by migraines and lots of history of nikola tesla. anyway I just found out the book was semi-autobiographical of the author, who himself was a backyard amateur chemist who invented colored bubbles that lost their color when popped, and then he got literally sued to death by Crayola's lawyers and died. made me sad.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Kehoe
