Blood Meridian only works an encyclopedic novel that helps you better understand the fauna and flora of the North American South West. As far as an understanding of violence and depravity, it does not come close to Heart of Darkness. In terms of imagery, I would say it is close to being on par with Hollow Men. I hope you niggers don't like this book because of its esthetics or its approach to violent depravity.
