Fantasy is the best genre. Sci-fi is up there too. Fantasy informs us of what "was" and sci-fi informs us of "what could be". How is this even up for discussion, I don't know. I used to want Dragonlance to get a movie or TV series but ik Hollywood will fuck it all up irretrievably.
I loved the trilogy. I read it a long time ago though.

He wasn't having anyone's bullshit, especially wanna-bells gods. Unfortunately, the Dragonlance series doesn't hold up very well but the characterizations are top-notch fantasy work imo. All the Companions of the Lance stand out, even Lauralanthalasa Kanan (Laurana) and Flint. I do love me some Flint Fireforge but he's a very stock dwarf character fighting guy.

Laurana was obvs the best choice for him but he just couldn't stay away from the bad pussy. I hate Kit but she did have a pretty cool son with the Knight, Sturm. They had a son named Steel and he was a so-called Grey Knight: neither good or evil (but was noble like Sturm and cut throat like Kit). I have an edietec memory for the written word, is why I remember all this shit. Kinda puerile but you like what you like when you are young and make no apologies for it.

(one of my favorite novels of all time) You get to learn about actual historical figures, battles, customs etc... but you also get a nice story. Personally I only like Sci-fi in short story form, kind of like reading a The Twilight Zone episode or something.Not a fan of Fantasy novels.
