I've read The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli.
I've read the Bible (King James too hard).
Any 3rd bookie recs?
Any book about Saturn worship maybe?
Freemasonry?
Or the play Lysistrata?

Is the Prince actually esoteric? Never read it.
Anyway, I recommend:
>The Manuscript Found in Saragossa
>Recognitions
>Gravity's Rainbow
Also Magic Mountain technically deals with freemasonry, but it doesn't go as far as the other books, which deal with the Kabbalah, alchemy, tarot, various heresies etc.
I think Umberto Eco deals with the esoteric, especially in Foucalt's Pendulum, but it's been like 15 years since I last read him.

>>The Manuscript Found in Saragossa
This one. above all, this one.

The Cult of the Black Cube focuses exclusively on Saturn worship, it's available through Theion publishing. The Game of Saturn as well as Ritual & Epiphany by Peter Mark Adams may also both appeal to you.

GR is just as engaged with the esoteric as Saragossa, but it's buried under so much noise that it's hard to orient yourself under its systems of meaning unless you're paying attention and are already familiar with it. Saragossa is a much better introduction and much closer to a 'traditional' narrative (especially in the 1810 version, its textual history is complicated)

This guy has a great video series on GR, he's obviously studied the book in depth, and seems to genuinely believe in astrology, the power of tarot and the like.

As far as a history of Saturn worship goes, that's really all you're going to get. Research Gnosticism and read the Nag Hammadi Scripture as well as the Hermetica if you genuinely want to learn about Western esotericism. It all goes back to Plato's Timaeus anyway.

Who, Ebert? Yeah, he's a loon, but I still think his vids are worth watching. He flip flops from highly erudite to being a nutcase, but he's still my favourite /lit/ youtuber.
