Plato is a sort of proto-Nietzschean figure to Constin who as tutor to Dion tried building Syracuse into what we could think of as a Fascist state. Everything politically and metaphysically taught by Socrates in the dialogues was just window dressing to keep the proles in line and away from Plato’s actual aristocratic leanings.
