So the tv series is some kind of right-wing racist shitshow, are the books any good? I've never read them. Are they racist and shit too?
>>
My first instinct when someone says something is racist is to assume the person saying it is an oversensitive libcuck and the material they're kicking and screaming about is not racist at all. So I'm gonna assume that neither the books or the show are racist as much as you'd love to cry that they are

OK but what about the series, is it good? Even if it might be bigoted and shit?
>>
>>25209784
What are reasons why people consider this series to be Right Wing/Fascist? How does it compare to anything else Arthurian?

Everyone is white.
Women don't do any of the knight stuff.
Author is Christian and interjects all sorts of Christian themes into the work.

It will flop. It's 2026, not 1986.

Christian themes were more or less present within the entirety of Arthuriana from its beginnings. No materials promoted Paganism, though some characters may have been implied that way, or at least unorthodox or heretical, such as the later versions of Merlin, ostensibly a magician/wizard figure during an age of Roman Catholic Church dominance and witch hunts, but even Merlin's original prototypes were the implied Christians Myrddin Wyllt and Lailoken. There are few, if any Pagan origins to reach back for certain elements of whatever survived multiple retellings of the Early Middle Ages and the High Middle Ages. Even if we subtract later additions to the mythology, such as the Holy Grail of Jesus Christ, Britain during the 5th century was already very Christianized, as were its Briton leaders, perhaps especially its rulers.

Everything you listed is exactly how the origin versions were, though. Christian themes have been around since the beginning.

Yeah and the Iliad and Odyssey are full of chuddy boi rape shit, misogyny, racism, etc.

Update it for today or it won't sell. Women make most household decisions about media and we don't want to see reactionary moid shit.
