The closest it came to is with Guo Jing, but it makes sense with him as he is a talented but slow kind of guy.The martial setting is for the characters and story, not the other way around. The translation is probably at fault for the wooden tone and the annoying feeling that there are too many tedious fight scenes filled with characters making moves with fancy names at pressure points with fancy names constantly interrupting the plot that actually is somewhat interesting even if the characters aren't particularly likable.Legends of the Condor Heroes was a lot more humorous than I expected though. The japanese big 3 is the thing of the past and it was never that good in the first place (it had it's moments though), the rest is mostly garbage. While there is less of donghua (no shitty single season 12 ep garbage) it is better in every way than anime. Currently top ranked renegade immortal is 130+ episodes of pure action.Not sure about manhwa, second season of solo levelling was a huge disappointment.
