Has anyone here read it? The book is such a slog it took me a little over a month to finish reading. It's quite possibly one of the most tedious things I've read in recent years, had I not bought it I would've probably quit a hundred pages in. It holds no worth whatsoever, it's just infantile romanticization of the medieval ages akin to modern day fantasy slop.

I'm sorry to say but if you can't appreciate the romantics it's actually over for you, you are a soulless flesh robot who will never truly enjoy a story. It's okay, they make strategy video games for people like you.
