Supposedly, he's on his death bed. Quite a tragic story if true. He took up the mantle of becoming one of our few real public intellectuals despite being a meek, oversensitive man because of his desire to improve society, and the weight of his fame and contradictions in his thought ended up destroying him.
>>
>>25218836
Because of his desire for shekels*
>>
>>25218836
He is the most significant thinker of the 21st century
>>
don't get my isp range banned again, shill
>>
So why did he make leftists mad again? His pre-Daily Wire period was pretty harmless.
>>
I'm sure it's all very sad and mediocre

Someone once pointed out to me that the little symbol he likes to use looks like a futurist rendition of a prolapsed asshole lol

I think his ultimate legacy will be as one of the most effective mainline protestant missionaries of the early 21st century.

Nobody won that debate , i dont think either of them had any idea who the other one was and they spent the entire debate strawmanning each other and trying to figure each other out. Also ive NEVER seen two debaters have such a shared disdain for the audience. The whole thing was more of a spectacle than a debate
>>
>>25218915
It's more spectacle than debate because Peterson is a paid tapdancer for the daily wire and Zizek despite mostly being a hack has actually read books.
>>
>>25218836
his whaargarbl about the Bible is no longer relevant now that people have started taking God seriously

Truly sad. Whenever I see stuff happen to men like this, I always think of Chesterton’s quote about sanity.

>The madman is not the man who has lost his reason. The madman is the man who has lost everything except his reason.
And
> Poets do not go mad; but chess-players do. Mathematicians go mad, and cashiers; but creative artists very seldom

I’m not saying it’s all in his head, obviously. But I think it’s clear Peterson suffers from mental torture on top of the issues he already has. Your mind will torture you if you let it and make any sickness/problem you might have 100x worse, physically and spiritually.

I wish him the best cuz if you look up what he’s going througgh I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

when the byzantine government decided to weigh in on whether Christ has one or two natures, the clergy were very excited about fighting over it and the muslims who said chill hes just a prophet took over half their empire. whereas when 100% of the american clergy demanded that the american government abolish marriage lest some woman feel bad about being trapped with non chad, there was no debate between clergy in which even a few clergy opposed the marriage ban for any reason whatsoever. so Christianity cant return to america until these clergy are dead
>>
>>25219186
I know this is /lit/ not /his/ but how do new atheists still believe this after the collapse of communism post Revolutions of 89? Christianity in particular had a massive global revival in the 90's and theres only a handful of mostly athiest countries exists anymore. Theres no clear linear trend of Christianity or any of the abrahamic religions declining
>>
I don't feel bad for him because he did literally make millions of dollars of his self-help guru grift. I think when he started selling 2k rugs that when his greed took over and it was no longer about expressing the Truth and higher principles, but just a way to print money off of disenfranchised young men. He's like those lottery winners that inevitably end up broke losers, the karmic hammer always swings back in the other direction.

You can track the rise and fall of Jordan Peterson's psyche through his fashion choices.

In the beginning, he has no clue about fashion, he's wearing a collared shirt and a suit jacket, that's his idea of dressing smartly He works at a university, he's got to dress smart, but notice the blue jeans and worn out belt. This is innocence.
At this point in his life, he hasn't once thought about his image.

At some point he becomes famous, and so he goes to a tailor and gets a proper suit made, he starts growing a beard and and puts on a scowl for his photos.
This culminates with the lobster necktie. It's actually quite a subtle feature, you could wear that tie anywhere and few would ever really pay attention to it.
This is the peak of his psyche, he's in control here, he's a celebrity but he's not a clown.

And finally the collapse. The drug scandal, the cancelling, he starts selling the stupid rug, and you see it again expressed in his clothing. He had learned to dress properly and he understood the importance of it, of appearing austere and serious.... that's all thrown out the window and he begins dressing in bizarre artistic custom suits that make him look ridiculous.
He has lost control of his life, and the only way is down.
>>
he's a spineless faggot and so are his fans

>but it's on the downswing most everywhere else
Not really? I think youre really underestimating how athiestic the 20th century was , I know most people think that it was an extremely religious era but it really wasnt. I dont think theres a trend towards athiesm in a linnear fashion if you take the last 100 years into account. I think its a bit reductivistic
>>
>>25220308
The presence of the lobster may even be able to be viewed as a sort of demon in Jordan Peterson's life, the physical manifestation of his fame and how much it dominates his life.

He almost certainly had mentioned lobsters many times in his pre-fame life. It's a common example in discussions of evolution and social hierarchies, but it was never more than just that, a bit of scientific trivia.

Then he has this interview with I think Cathy Newman and he mentions the lobster example and it becomes this huge meme. It completely loses its sobriety and becomes this brand image for him. He is now the lobster man. This was also the precise moment where Jordan Peterson becomes mainstream famous. In effect, the lobster is the manifestation of his fame.

For a while, Jordan Peterson doesn't pay attention to it, he knows it's just a simple bit of trivia, it's not really profound or interesting to anyone with half a brain. But the popularity of the meme persists and eventually he goes along with the joke and gets the lobster tie. He has accepted the fame in his life, he has allowed fame to influence him and change him as a person.

And then finally, the fame subsumes him, it's no longer an injoke, it's become overt in his life, he commissions entire suits in the image of the lobster, buys lobster yin-yang posters (whatever that is on his wall). It dominates him, he is more lobster than man, the fame has completely taken over his life and destroyed his mind.

I never liked him but he was getting popular with the alienated white male population and perhaps he was doing something positive to them and the jews could not allow him. he got mkultrad and then used to demoralize the people who looked up to him with all the clown shit
I'm 100% sure he got taken to room 101 by the kike intelligence

what do you mean by “on”? and what do you mean by “death” and what do you mean by “bed”?

He's just extremely neurotic. He claimed apple cider, or apple cider vinegar, I forget, caused him to not sleep for over a week because of some adverse reaction on Joe Rogan to an audience of millions with a straight face. Then it was mold and some kind of immune disorder, now it's an injury from his psych meds. He's like your weirdo cat lady hypochondriac aunt who swears she's all fucked up from fibromyalgia or lyme disease.

He's just insane and the doctors are happy to milk him (lol) for his shekels. They're basically enabling his mental disorder at this point.

I used to watch his university lectures back in 2015/16 when I was 14/15 - I found them interesting but his book "12 rules for life" was utter rubbish from a literary viewpoint.
A few years after publishing it, he got addicted to benzos, went through benzo withdrawal and he's never been quite the same since.
All the same, I do not like to see people suffering so I wish him the best. May God grant him health.

Go watch his "debate" with Zizek. Peterson literally skimmed the Communist Manifesto and just plugged in all his own pathological hatred of his ideological opponents instead of actually understanding Marxism or even Communism. He was always a fraud, a one-dimensional thinker who was a slick talker and knew how to package stock common sense advice in a way that appealed to modern people. He had some good moments like his Channel 4 interview, but as a thinker he was constitutionally incapable of even conceiving of a cohesive worldview outside of his own (which ended up not being as cohesive as he thought). Sad.

he refused to use pronouns to refer to a student, I think he said that it was a tyrannical ask.
Then they attempted to turn him into a lolcow, and for a while they didn't get what they wanted until he joined the Daily Wire and started crying about Israel.
>>
>>25221513
He and Zizek are made for each other. If anything Z has even fewer concrete positions, his version of "communism" is, hmm, we should come together to do things sometimes.
And to the manifesto point, there's no path to "understanding" communism because no one ever developed a model of it even in theory. It's all rhetoric and fantasizing. There's no understanding that increases by reading more than the manifesto, so one couls stick to it. In fact it's amusing how it riles leftists up when a man simply lists the failures of commies and the successes of capitalism, they always cope with very Zizekian rambles about how it's all more complicated and deep than mere real world experience.
>>
>>25218836
Peterson died a decade ago, his corpse has been propped up by his terrible and corrupt daughter so that she squeeze as much cash as she can before he's officially declared dead.

His fall has been so deeply complete and dramatically ironic that it's almost biblical. That he went from Fedora Atheist to a pseudo-Christian during this fall has been intensely interesting to witness and seems to prove *something* but what, I cannot say.
>>
>>25221814
it was inevitable, his schtick is that men should assume responsibility for everything and that women are this aspect of chaos which is unaccountable.
His daughter single handedly pointed the direction of his entire ethos.

In Africa. The religion is so brown it'll be the majority of adherents. You'll have an African pope and then we'll really see how much the nominal christians want to cling to their delusions of a heaven full of God's chosen and nogs.
>>25220192
>or any of the abrahamic religions
It used to be the cope was just being a spineless ecumenical blob "christian" now you've apparently expanded your cope to embrace muds as your brothers. We already knew you worshipped kikes but they're a speck on the global religious adherence anyway.

WHY DOES HE DRESS LIKE SHEOGORATH?!?!
>>
>>25220192
it's a false flag, Christians and Abrahamics in general have everything to gain from hysterical panicking, there's a giant upswing with 'born again' zoomers who have been convinced online that the only anti-muslim position is being Catholic/Orthodox, rather than secular fascists.
