Just picked up these books to get myself out of reading rut. My plan is to first do some cleaning and then reward myself with reading - going to start nice and slow with Middlemarch to get a steady rhythm going, and then cleanse the palette with The Memory Police - get a lil bit paranoid and excited, and then finish off with a bang with the highly recommended Anna Karenina. >>25219153>Open to more advice.sounds to me like you've got it figured out. I think if you want to get out of a rut it's more about reading the right thing to inspire you to want to read more. If Middlemarch seems like something that would really appeal to you then it's probably a good choice. Picking up some random shit and trying it out on a whim or by recommendation might not be the best idea to start off.
