After Circe+Gravity's Rainbow wombo combo (+Alice in Wonderland/Hunting of the Snark a few years back) I think I found my new love. What are the surrealist must reads? I already have Maldoror and Burroughs on my reading list, but is there anything else I should know about?

You should know about Boris Vian

You could just look up the original early-20th-century French guys. But you might not like them. I like Alice In Wonderland but I find them annoying in any dose larger than about a paragraph.

André Breton is the most famous one isn't he? Wrote things like "The White-Haired Revolver" and "Soluble Fish" (‘Soluble Fish’ is actually quite a good title but I bet the book is annoying).

You could also try Sixty Stories by Donald Barthelme. Quite famous and I don't know what you would call it if not surreal.

Ubu Roi by our honourable Janny. You’ll love Pere Ubu like you loved Gargantua
