Not posting in the general because everyone in there is a GRRM ballsucker. To anyone who treats this book as standalone instead of looking at the larger series realises that GRRM has not only written a bad book, but completely lost the plot here and has written himself in various corners he can never escape from. Starting with the nonsense that is Lady Stoneheart, the completely useless Areo POVs and ending with the completely inane take over of Kings Landing by the Faith. Then, in Dance with Dragon, he resolves none of these (because he cannot), but goes on to introduce a series of other hanging threads instead. Euron was first mentioned in Clash and foreshadowed as a major villain throughout Storm. The FAegon plotline was heavily foreshadowed in the House of the Undying, and Illyrio's ambitions were hinted at all the way back in AGOT.The only plotline that seems unnecessary to the overarching story is all the Dorne shit. But even that we know George was planning from the start (Areo Hotah is mentioned in the AGOT appendix). So it must have *some* importance to a big development later in the story
