So, do Chinese people actually think like this? Like robot insects? What a surreal reading experience. Surely there was a translation error.
But u remember reading that hat Japanese book Wind Up Bird Chronicle and it was like a robo insect on sad weed. I think I'm getting redpilled

Yep, that's how all east asians usually are

Only on the surface. I live in Taiwan so I can tell you a bit more about the "face" and "hive" concepts, you have to understand that our philosophy mostly flows from Confucius and not Plato. However IRL in highly capitalistic countries (China being one of course) all of that is an act and people are still power hungry. I've lived in France a very long time and I would say frogs are much more honest for example as they clearly state they care only about what they think is good for them. Having a individualist society obviously leads to France being the ultimate unliveable nigger filled shithole cause they don't even pretend to act in the greater good. In Taiwan we pretend, our metro system is flawless and our crime rate is super low, cause it's easy to not be a monkey, but politicians and companies are still manipulative. So basically irl it's just better for general life enjoyment but in the end you are just the same slave of the same system. Sorry this is probably the ultimate ESL post but whatever

I think it's more about Westerners being unable to read beyond the surface. When an explanation given by a reliable-seeming character is contradicted by the later events, it might not be because the book is bad because the author is bad but because the character was lying or mistaken and the reader is supposed to realize that even without the author spelling out it all in clear terms before the end of the story.

For example, I think the Three Body trilogy doesn't actually side with the dark forest hypothesis despite having a reputation just for that, etc.

I just dont get why having three bodies would be a problem? One could work full time, one could work part time, and I’ll just relax
>>
>>25224394
It’s a scientific problem about three bodies orbiting in space, retard.

Can you elaborate?
>>
>>25223652
a lot of words to say "Taiwan has wealth, no kikes and therefore no niggers so our crime is low"
>>

>Surely there was a translation error.
You're ESL. You don't have any idea what this book said because you're some kind of malay or litvak who is reading a translated work in English, a language you will never be able to speak.

Homogenous Society vs Multi-Cultural Society, bwoa. Nothing new here.

East Asians are robot insects. No hate, but I feel more human connection with animals, than them.
>>
>>25223652
>our crime rate is super low
that sounds like cap.

autism alert. and sadly not the high functioning kind.

Its called 虫国 for a reason
>>
>>25224747
we have Indonesians it's our equivalent to niggers
>>25224853
Idk I feel like it's more about strict laws
>>25225256
It is the 3rd lowest in the world
>>
>>25225794
It's both, and they work to reinforce each other.
Homogenous societies tend to lean more on a philosophy of a common goal or greater good, which is reflected in the societal norms. heterogenous societies tend to be more individualistic since there is fewer shared characteristics between the peoples that compose said society.
That's what I observed moving about a lot. But what >>25223652 pointed, it's all an act. We pretend to be harmonious but we're all at each other's throats in the same way as a bunch of italians, spics and russians living in downtown new york.
>>
>>25225903
there is also hearder/farmer split. Mongolians have a rugged individualism about them even if they are tribal in some respects, The northern Chinese wheat farmer cultures also have historically tended to be more individualistic then their rice growing southern cousins.
>>
>>25225910
You say that as if the southern chinese aren't notoriously individualistic and quarrelsome. There's a reason they are looked down upon as trash people and snakeheads
>>
>>25225256
I bet it does, Tyrone
>>25223652
Iol I love this website
Thank you for the explanation

southerners are greedy but will not harm other people in their clan 家族 or their village
all of the quarrels and fights are between villages or between clans
only in the last 100 years when people started living in cities not villages did these traditional social structures break down and southerners got exposed to individualistic merchant capitalism
and then they became stereotypical Fujian and Guangdong merchants
