I live in Taiwan so I can tell you a bit more about the "face" and "hive" concepts, you have to understand that our philosophy mostly flows from Confucius and not Plato. However IRL in highly capitalistic countries (China being one of course) all of that is an act and people are still power hungry. I've lived in France a very long time and I would say frogs are much more honest for example as they clearly state they care only about what they think is good for them. Having a individualist society obviously leads to France being the ultimate unliveable nigger filled shithole cause they don't even pretend to act in the greater good. In Taiwan we pretend, our metro system is flawless and our crime rate is super low, cause it's easy to not be a monkey, but politicians and companies are still manipulative. So basically irl it's just better for general life enjoyment but in the end you are just the same slave of the same system. Sorry this is probably the ultimate ESL post but whatever
