Behold the highest-rated book on Goodreads. Long after your previous poets are forgotten, Sanderson will be worshipped the world over as a literary god.

This is why I don't take part in chick lit hate. Scrotes way overrate similar garbage.
>>
>>25224009
People want to blame a gender when the fact is that people have all been getting stupider for a while.
>>
>>25224009
>>25223998
Reddit manchildren are a cancer to art.
>>
>>25223998
Normies that read performatively enjoy such rankings, they are safe to tell their normie friends they read such book and it was great. They can read a review and take its premise for granted. Comfy.
>>
>>25224158
That checks out, I’d say they like to rank art this way but it would be disingenuous to call the shit highly rated on goodreads “art”
>>25224013
Agreed, the whole gender blaming is a bit hackneyed, men and women alike are different sure but these faggots who rate this slop highly are the male equivalent of the dumb bitch who only reads chick lit slop. God I hate people so much it’s unreal.
>>
>>25224097
It's funny because as much as they claim that rightoids are looking for echo chamber art (some of them are) there's nothing more masturbatory and fart sniffing than the midwit reddit worship of absolute MCU-tier dogshit that has le funny quips, le heckin science and/or le human condition (but solely through the lens of 2020s feminism or else it's bigoted or problematic).
>>
>>25224177
It's particularly a problem in cinema because even critics expect a minimum amount of humor in everything.
>>
>>25224009
fronthole understand per capita challenge (difficulty impossible)

>>25224013
>>25224097
She's not going to fuck you
>>
>>25223998
Hype and trends are what dictate aggregate userscores much more than quality. Take >>25224009 for example; when people memory hole the film adaptation, people will just move to positively review bombing the next slop that Hollywood adapts, and brigade Project Hail Mary with 0s because the current thing must always be #1.
This is genuinely why I use /lit/. Goodreads is useless for finding lasting quality, it's just myanimelist for smut and basedcore.
>>
>>25223998
just like how everybody loves best selling author Edward Bulwer-Lytton to this day, and no one remembers his then less popular contemporary, Dickins.
>>
>>25224917
Five seconds, you copetard faggot.
>>
>>25224917
Bulwer-Lytton is better.
>>
>>25224784
and here's the exact type of guy they were talking about
2 overused jokes, no originality
>>
>>25224784
Per capita what? You stupid fucking faggot. You think men read quality literature per capita or something?
>>
>>25223998
>tfw my 1* review has over 150 likes
I could have gotten a lot more if I didn't dilly-dally and spend a couple days thinking about leaving a review.
>>
>>25227068
You know what? I'm gonna dox you just with this.
>>
>>25228600
That’s kinda evil
>>
>>25226445
Yes, the most male dominated genres are philosophy and history; the least are various flavors of pornography. Are frontholes allowed to say "faggot" now? That's not very intersectional of you.
>>
>>25227068
I got the most amount of likes saying Jordyn Peterstein’s latest sucked my balls.
>>25228600
Do me next.
>>
>>25223998
I just looked at the the list and holy shit it's just manchild slop over manchild slop. This generation of "men' need to grow the fuck up.
>>
>>25228633
What percentage of positive ratings for those works are men, femceloid? Did you check?

You're a lying faggot. The most liked 1* review of this only has 56 likes.

Do people unironically use goodreads?

Its potentially the worst site on the entire internet...

You can't do filtered searches, there's no proper tag system, you can't sort by rating.
Everything is generalized into the most broad categories and you're steered by the crowd instead on the assumption you have zero (0) taste.
Its completely useless for people who actually want to find something "good" to read, its only purpose is for an individual to brag into the indifferent void - in other words its for women.
>>
>>25228625
not that anon and somewhat unrelated but it's kinda gay coded to say "frontholes"

holes is fine. the extra level of anger with frontholes seems spiritually gay
>>
>>25224097
>>25224881
People severely underestimate the hand labels and publishing companies have played on aggregator sites. Companies have become extremely aggressive at promoting and shilling their slop on social media and sites like goodreads, rateyourmusic, letterboxed, etc.
The problem is that the redditor segment that eventually dominates those places doesn't fight against it because they consider any kind of criticism bad. And that lack of resistance only helps corporations infiltrate and take over platforms in order to sway users toward buying certain trends and products.
Not even 4chan is safe nowadays, most of the discussion is not only inorganic, but made by jeets and the jidf trying to push an agenda.
>>25228649
>Do people unironically use goodreads?
Yeah, mostly women and gay men. Those two sectors value quantity over quality and obsess over the latest pop media trends.
>>
>>25228600
It's been posted and my profile has been posted many times. Nobody cares. Also I lied because I skimmed the cover OP. My review was for book 5 not book 2.
