I realised I have never liked nor read any female authors. What are some books, written by men, that explores my disdain for women? I just don’t think they’re capable of abstract thought on the same level as men.

on women - Arthur Schopenhauer
Is it rational to consider Dostoyevsky a misogynist author? I've read pretty much all his work and as much as he includes women as major characters they almost always appear as enigmatical contradictions or virgin mary's. I don't personally think he is mysoginist but I've encountered some actual people that think he is. Overall they just have a skewed or poor understanding of the 19th century but it is a topic that keeps being brought up.
>>25231551Weininger, Schopenhauer, John Knox, Evola, Bax, De Riencourt, Tsarion have all expressed criticisms of women.
the original Bond novels and Sherlock Holmes stories.

Anna Karenina is the towering masterpiece of world misogynist art and it's so funny to me that women tend not to understand this.

>>25231585Top tier essay, but Otto Weininger’s Sex and Character is way more brutal and true about women, which puts Weininger at GOAT status.
'Extension du domaine de la lutte' by Houellebecq. It explores themes of isolation and sexual frustration in a sexually liberal society - some men get all the sex while others get none. I wouldn't call Houellebecq a misogynist but the protagonist in this book definitely is. He is lonely, hasn't had sex for years and his interior thoughts about women illustrate his resentments.
>>25231551I used to have that same mindset until reading some actually pretty great female authors and having a ton of personal experiences IRL with a couple woman. If anything nowadays I think man are more emotionally stunted and less capable of abstraction as their minds tend toward less emotionally driven functioning on average, as if its just a cold golem going through the motions which rarely gains a higher emotional calling Anyway I would recommend Bukowski and Oscar Wilde, dont fall for the bait and think old authors are particularly passionate about hating woman real misogynists only come after the mid 19th century when woman become more vocal>>25231682He constantly portrays themes of humanity, redemption and will through his female characters even if a lot of them are absolute dickheads. My first thought is Nastasya Filippovna from The Idiot where even if she seems like an archetypical indecisive pseudo-slutty laughable pathetic woman at a first glance most of the whole book revolves around her being an analogue for humanity's constantly falling ins and outs of the Will of God and the chase we have towards sin and self deprication while still yearning for forgiveness and kindness at the end of the day when we relapse back into His light, it is quite fitting as well. I think it's a Balzac situation, I have seen people call Balzac a misogynist purely because he portrays woman in very negative and deceptive roles from time to time, as if they are somehow untouchable but really he romanticized them a lot in his own personal life over and over>>25231937On the subject, Coronel Chambret by Balzac is a good one, it always gets many a chuckle out of me. Not incel misogyny but it portrays an absolutely horrid bitch and it fits your exact description>>25231865Fitting for people who have a strong unreasonable hatred towards woman>>25233677>Woman are all whores>Man are all cucks>Kills himselfWhat did he mean by this?
