There's some books I always wanted to work through but I live in South Africa ie starved book scene. Except Amazon, where do you get books like AOCP or Feynsman lectures on physics?

I once heard a story about a South African shopping mall. I don't know if it's really true, but I enjoy the mental image. Perhaps it is a complete falsehood, but at any rate, here is the story.

Once upon a time, in South Africa, trouble was brewing near a shopping mall. People, many of whom were of course black, became very restless for whatever reason, and so they began looting the mall. They stole everything from the stores. They stole money, they stole clothing, they stole shoes, they stole equipment, they stole TVs. They stole everything that wasn't bolted down. They stole some things that were bolted down. And so, the mall was ransacked. Except one store. Oh yes, they stole a few things from this store in a shopping mall in South Africa, as is natural, but for the most part they left it alone. And the very next day, the employees picked up the tables and chairs, and this one store in the mall was able to resume operations. The looters did not value the contents of this store at all. Do you know what sort of a store it was, what they had for sale in that store?

It was a bookstore. They sold books.
