I don't understand how anyone can think Project Hail Mary is a good book. A Steven King book has more characterization in the first page than this entire book has.

it's fun for stemfags
>>
My friend keeps reccomending me this book, this movie, everything. He also has that rare flaw where he views his tastes as an extension of himself, and thus I have to keep lying about how I think it's "Good, really, it's just not for me!"
>>
>>25234599
You never read it althoughbeit
>>
>>25234599
that book got me out of a reading slump when I was just tired of reading le classics and wanted some contemporary sloppa. Served its purpose

The seethe that Weir's adequate novels cause on 4chan needs to be studied. They certainly aren't masterpieces, but there is nothing in them to cause this level of anger.

>made a comment about how PHM reads like something out of an applied mathematics textbook
>STEMfag tries denying it
It makes Ready Player One look good

Not even good scifi. Leviathan Wakes/Expanse series is way better

I'm roughly half way through the first book now. It's good, but I don't think I'll read the other books in the series. How's the TV show? Does the show cover all of the books or just the first one?

They don't like it because it's good, they like it because a human and an alien have a broship.

The book is fine, /lit/ seething over it actually makes it even funnier.
>>
>>25235989

Oh yeah, it's hated for unfair reasons. It certainly hasn’t earned the hate because subhuman redditors overrate it.
>>
>>25237570
Just read Niven or Crichton then.

You've shown that it is popular. If you think popular automatically means bad, you are a pseud.

>>25237627
I think you have reading comprehension issues.

I enjoyed it as an audiobook while playing minecraft.

O.K nigger.

“Every novel I try has dog shit writing but I’m supposed to look past it because at least it’s not science fiction or horror.”
>>
>>25237653
It works really well as an audiobook because of the first-person narration. Really puts you into the protagonist's head.

>Caring about ratings for media
>On any site ever
Are you also mad that The Rise of Skywalker has a 86% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes?
>>
This book had a great plot. The real overrated rugpull is Dark Matter.
