Sometimes my imagination is vague, sometimes detailed. I do think a good imagination can be practiced. Mine gets divergent.

I liked the chapters with the Castle (tavern), Enemy Army (sheep) and the book burning. But overall I wasn't very impressed with part 1, it wasn't that funny, the biggest keks I had in literature were with Confidence-Man, Ulysses and Gravity's Rainbow, and part 1 wasn't particularly profound.
Part 2 kinda saves the book IMO. Alonso Quixano starts to show his wisdom, he becomes less of a punching bag and more of a noble schizophrenic. The metafiction aspect comes into the forefront too. It was already somewhat present with the moor and the constant confusion when it comes to Alonso Quesada's name, as well as Sancho's donkey and errors in chapter names, but Alonso Quexana's copycat drives it up to 11, but I don't see why people see it as the GOAT.
