When the fuck did scifi get so retardedly fucking gay?

This sort of pronoun usage began in the mid-1800s with "thon" meaning "that one". Many more were developed through the late 1800s and early 1900s. Only in recent decades has it become highly politicized.

I really liked the last story, "Judas Iscariot Didn't Kill Himself", because it's about a transhumanist utopian commune that gets destroyed by a 4chan troll. We really came out looking like the good guys in that one.

Greg Egan wrote some good books with ve/vis pronouns starting in the 90s.
I think it's Diaspora that has a community of nth-generation transhuman uploads where the only character that chooses to be gendered and go by old-fashioned he/him pronouns is a furry. Makes sense if you think about it.

>ve/vis pronouns
why
>>
>>25246205
Probably has to do with the fact that most scifi authors are fedoras (and ultimately subjectivists) who are susceptible to politicized pseudo-philosophies such as the modern left movement.

Sounds cool.

They/them as a pronoun set for nonbinary people wasn't invented until ~2005 and didn't dominate until ~2015. Ve/vis was one of the competing options at the time.
He uses it both for nonbinary people and for people of unknown gender, very similar to modern they/them.

>Israelis call him anti-semitic
Imagine being so based. What a legend.

There's literally an ad in Oregon right now talking about the plight of LGBTQIAS+. I don't know what half of that shit stands for.
>>
The Piers Anthony story in Again, Dangerous Visions was straight up furry porn. Disturbingly prescient.
